How can I prepare a ledger report like this for Suppliers with quantity and amount shown side by side.
This report is available for customers under Sales invoice total by item but a similar option for purchases isn’t available. Can someone guide me on how to prepare it using custom reports or any other feature?
such a report for purchases is not yet available in Manager.
i remember discussing the same on another topic but i cannot find the topic now.
custom reports are still under development and so there is no documentation for it. you could search the forum for some ideas and try for yourself.
maybe @lubos can consider this as an idea to add reports for purchases similar to the reports for sales invoices we have now.
Ok thanks. I just wanted to confirm if that option exists or I am missing out on something.

@bansalshreya22 , what you are showing is not a ledger report for customers, as you say you want for suppliers. It is a drill-down report of transactions contributing to a single number on the Sales Invoice Totals by Item report. So it is important to understand that the list does not report all sales to a customer (which is available on another report), but sales of one item. You have further filtered the list to show sales of that item to one customer. In other words, what you are asking about is not a report at all, but the result of several steps, manipulating data as you go.
Much of the corresponding data is available in the Suppliers tab. The question is what are you trying to accomplish? Why do you want quantities and amounts shown together? The quantities are of little use when mixed units of measure are used on invoices.
Yes, I am referring to a drill down report with quantities and amount of each invoice shown together. I may have used the wrong terminology but what I meant was under Sales Reports, the amounts consisted of a hyperlink providing all the details. I wanted to clarify if a similar option exists for purchase invoices as well. Anyways thanks for your response, I have found a way to what I wanted externally.
As you apparently have discovered, there is no such report.
