Not sure if this is a question or a request…
One of my businesses in Manager (a registered limited Company) presently has 6 shareholders (which in the near future will be increased to 12 individual shareholders)
I have set up Capital Accounts for each member/shareholder and presently have the following subaccounts:
“Shareholders’ Loan”, “Shareholders’ Drawings”, “Shareholders’ Retained fees” (=for example consultancy work invoiced to the company but not paid) and “Dividend”. This mean…
Based on problem here, if there is more than 10 Shareholders.
I understand Capital Account cannot have Liabilities such as Loan from directors or Dividends.
If we Insert it in Chart of Account it will become long listed of share holders name.
I would like to see special accounts can have sub-accounts similar like Capital Sub-accounts.
Currently, after I’ve done of what Brucanna taught me using special accounts for Distributed Provisions,
Context:
Currently I’m helping a Business owner who need my help handling her accounts and administration activity.
She has particular way like book keeping style of handling her money, something similar to multiple piggy banks.
Every 1 $ of Sales:
55% will be use for Operating Expenditure
10% is For Investment or Purchasing Long term Assets
3.10% For education or training expenditure
10% For Settling Debts (old or acquaintance) which can be off the books
5% For donations
10% for Holiday o…
The special account will be ‘bloat’ and not neat.
So, is there anyone can tell me what is the technical problem for Manager not having that extra feature. Sub accounts for Special Account?
Why don’t you create a Control Account called Shareholders Loans A/c, made up of Special Accounts.
This way the BS only has one account with a multiple of sub-accounts behind it.

I was just typing the same thing as @Brucanna ’s answer appeared. Create a custom control account:
See this Guide: Add custom control accounts | Manager .

Yes I did as per Brucanna’s instruction within the linked topic about capital accounts, what I’m trying to convey here, is there any better way to manage within special accounts that has a lot of ‘Individual Accounts’ from different category of Special accounts for example, ‘Distributed Provision 45%’ which has 10% 5%, plus Shareholders which each within special accounts identifiable by names (Liability>Shareholders>Dividend> ‘Jack’, ‘Sommers’, ‘Meryn’ and so on). Can’ we just group them within special accounts tab?
Like all the % provisions are group under special account group ‘Distributed Provision’, Shareholders member under ‘Shareholders’ group name. (Not in the context of Chart of Accounts but within special account tab)
Your only option within the Special Accounts tab is to click on the column heading and it will sort them into groups.
