Profit & Loss Statement

Expenses on Profit & Loss Statement displays with positive signs however once we copy to clipboard and export the same in excel expense items add a negative sign with it. Please suggest how we can copy the same details as displayed with positive signs.

You cannot, because they are actually negative numbers in the report. The fact that they display as positive numbers is an accounting convention to reduce clutter. It is understood from context that they are negative. Remember that when you are viewing a report, you are viewing a highly processed version of data.

This is probably more information than you want to know, but the fact that the report treats expenses as negative numbers is itself the result of sign conversion. Manager internally treats debits (which expenses usually are) as positive numbers and credits as negative. It reverses them for the report, then reverses them again to follow the standard display convention.

Thank you for said clarification.

I think, this is recent development as previously when we copy to clipboard it exports the data as displayed. Can we have the same option available again and choice to opt with negative or positive signs.

You may be remembering behavior of the Export function, which no longer exists.
