About 5 years ago I was running Manager and had about 10 years worth of data when I caught the PC cable with my foot and sent it crashing to the floor.
The result was, I lost the disk. My fault. I’ve since found a backup of the Manager data … but it consists of .dbf, .idx and .fpt files. Is there any chance of finding a Manager version which can recognise those old files? I know they belong(ed) to Manager because I can view them in Notepad and they contain data I recognise

Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, the publicly available versions don’t go that far.
Your only chance is to contact support@manager.io and see if they can help.
These are not Manager files. Manager data always have .manager extension and you can import even the oldest ones into the latest version.
