New backup process?

When I went to back up on the cloud version (25.9.8.2752) I noticed it has changed; there is no longer the options to include attachments etc. I backed up my files and I note the backup is much smaller than before; e.g. my July backup is 229.3Mb; the same company backed up in August is only 9Mb; I cannot imagine the data in this backup contains all of my data. Can anyone explain? Should I be using the export option instead?

OK I have found that to backup now you have to log in to your domain to do so. It says it is “refreshed once a day”. When is the refresh so I can ensure I get the latest entries?

Hello @JGF,

Backups now don’t include History and Attachments by default.

This is temporary since backup is undergoing development

For now, as you already figured out for yourself, you can take copies of your *.manager files or visit https://cloud.manager.io

Cloudversion: 25.9.9.2756

For your interest.

Just made a backup. Used this backup to import. Checked and saw all data, attachments, history and e-mails are included and useable.

Pity, still, is that backup is saved without the backup-date and -time included in the name of the backup.

Great news.

That should be sorted out as well. I highly doubt that we will lose this feature

Yep auto date stamp" was great

N. B. I use the desktop version.

I think it would be really good to have the option to have manager.io include the program version number in the file name of the backup. That way those of us who keep old versions of the program would be able to know which version to open the backup file with (if we ever have to do so). If one always uses the latest version the date embedded in the backup file name will make it possible to reverse engineer the program version # used. But not all of us can update the program every day or so when a new version comes out.

Could this suggestion be put in the “Ideas” part of the forum?

Every time I downloaded a newer version I would put it in its own folder (24.8.6.1801 in the example below) and then, before I did another update, I would put a copy of the file backups in that folder before updating to the next one.
So before I updated to 24.10.14.1886 I placed a copy of the backup files in the 24.8.6.1801 folder as that was the version those files were last used with.
