agree
Thanks for this, it really helpā¦
Is there any code to stop an item to be issued in sales invoice or receipt when the qty is zero?
Please i really need it if you have the code.
No
I cannot emphasize this these requests enough.
If this software companyās intention is to gain wider adoption, especially in the United States, then adopting the nomenclature of the most widely used, and despised, business software (Quickbooks) will make the transition enticing.
Most small business owners are not accountants or even that computer savvy.
The singular reason I keep coming back to your software and then ultimately giving up on it is because I have to ācode switchā between two software languages.
Terminology here has legal implications and ramifications.
An āInvoiceā is what you give, not what you receive.
A āQuoteā is a hard agreed upon value, and an āEstimateā has a flexible value.
If you are at all interested, here is what the workflow for a Quickbooks Service Industry with Inventory is expecting to see:
āEstimateā - The expected labor time and materials given by the service provider to the customer to complete a Job.
A āPurchase Orderā is a request sent to a vendor as a promise to pay for items or services.
A āBillā is confirmation of received items or services which may be ābillableā to a customer/job.
An āInvoiceā is a request for payment to a customer/job.
Iāve attached two screen shots for you to review.
If you donāt believe people are getting desperate for a giant killer, then take a look at r/Quickbooks on reddit.
Thank you for your consideration,
To be clear, you donāt āgive an invoiceā
A Sales Invoice records the sale of goods or services on credit to a customer.
A Purchase Invoice records the purchase of goods or services on credit from a supplier.
These are terms used worldwide and there is no valid reason for using anything else
language would not work. Because there are thousands of strings, actually, development of manager.io (Languages) involves many volunteers who work on translating the application.
@lubos we can use aliases. This would just be a large table, that gives alias to all the strings of the application. So they dont change the string, they just allow the user to change the (Main menu) view by adding an alias. So when they open their business, they can turn alias on or off, for their convenience
My point isnāt to make the rest of the world change, This is a marketing opportunity for the project.
If manager adopted the terminology of the largest small business bookkeeping software in the U.S. Then the project would see widespread adoption.
I understand the work effort is huge. Our business does a lot of work work for our clients and I often need to remind them the word ājustā isnāt allowed in the conversation.
Iām not an accountant but I am a subject matter expert who often has to explain and teach the concepts of my area of expertise to people who know nothing about what I do.
Iāve found using their language instead of mine has a much higher rate of success.
If youāre easily distracted you can give it a try with: https://xkcd.com/simplewriter/
Anyway, Iām back to work nowā¦
