Merge file 2024- 2025

2023 is in a separate file. A new file was created for 2024 and 2025 in a separate file. Now, can these three years be combined into one file so that the report can be obtained for all three years?

Manager is a continuous accounting program. It is designed so minor changes are made at the end of each financial year. Doing so makes multi year reports easy.

As a result the easiest way of creating multi-year reports is simply do not start a new business for each year.

The alternative is hard as it involves using Manager in a way it was not designed to be used. Options:

  1. Make multi year reports outside of Manager (Create the report it each, use Copy to clipboard, paste into a spreadsheet.
  2. Try to recombine the Manager data files (create a backup of all files you are about to edit, for each database table in turn use batch update to extract the data, compare in a spread sheet to remove all entries already in the larger later data file, update the UUID of linked records, use Batch create to add the missing records back into Manager.

So in summary, don’t start a new Manager data file each year, and if you have in the past putting up with option 1 above is probalby the aheivable solution for most users.
