Merge a ledger account with another ledger account

It might be a great thing for us if it would be possible to merge a ledger account with another ledger account. This is because at times we find that 2 different ledger accounts should be under one ledger account, and usually we have to manually rename each of the affected transactions, a tedious and time consuming task especially with hundreds of transactions.

You can use Batch Update for the transactions.

Batch Update is the simplest approach.

Please understand that the scenario you have described is because of user negligence and it is too much to ask from a developer to introduce a feature to correct the user mistake. Moreover the developer has already provided a feature for correcting such mistakes in the form of batch operations.

I would have considered Find and Recode if the ledger account you are referring to consist of Payment and Receipt transactions.
