Hi. I was wondering if one can create a custom report that looks and functions exactly like the Tax Transactions report, but it also shows the Description or Contact (Customer/Supplier/Other) of a Receipt/Payment. I need a more detailed Tax Transactions report for VAT Detail. Can anyone help me with that?

Instead of a custom report, you can also use an advanced query, which is also easier.
Hi @Syed_Salman_Ali - I took a look at the Advanced Queries option but it doesn’t seem to allow for tax codes or tax amounts, which I think would be necessary for the query by @De_Vos.
I’m also interested in the answer to this query. It bewilders me that most of the Manager reports don’t include the Payee name!

in Payment go to the Edit Column there is an option of Description make sure its Checked also Payee. we have both information there.

Advance Query we can see all our required fields.here we can generate the required report easily.
Thank you for your response. So I tried the advanced queries feature, but it doesn’t seem to be able to help me with the VAT report I am looking for. Here is my setup:
Have a look at the way that one sale shows up with reference number 2. It is $5,000 VAT 15% included. That means I want it to show up like this:
Date Description Tax Code Tax Amount Amount
Date Description VAT 15% 652,17 5,000
It doesn’t show up like this. Two lines appear for that one transaction and all the others are also like that. Journal entries where the Clearing Account is used shows up even more confusingly. Maybe I am doing something wrong?
I don’t understand why they just can’t add a Payee or Description to the Tax Transactions report, which is perfect for me.
