Home Dashboard Summary - Profit and Loss Statement - incomes- Sales Don't show

Hello Everyone
Why in Dashboard Summary

Profit and Loss Statement - Incomes- Sales.

Shows zero
But there is many issued Sales Invoices

Everything else in Summary shows the correct numbers but only sales not showing my total sales invoices.

Cash or accrual basis?

Dates not set properly?

Only guessing, as I’d need more info to give a better answer

I’m using Saudi Arabia location,
Which it means i can’t change invoices Dates
When i make invoice it take the current Date

Summary Dashboard i can’t chage anything

But i can see all other

Balance Sheet - Assets
Liabilities
Equity
Expenses

Everything has numbers except the incomes and Sales

Show a screen copy of your Summary screen and

@Hazem I think you mean in the charts of account section on the right, those two are usually

  • sales
  • interest received

these are usually under INCOME

so to fix your issue, you need to change your receipt details, to include the sales accounts in your receipt

Under description, in the place that says Account. (You see where it says suspense) so click that and change that to sales, this will record the receipt amount as a sales income. Then it will show in the frontend

Hello @mraniweneonline
this eaxctly what I mean

when customr pay i, and I make a new receipt

In the section Paid By: I select the customer, than i selcet the customer name from the list

i do the same on the account section, customers: than i select the customer again from the list

Everything works okay, and customers’ account statments is okey..

But it won’t show the amounts on the sales on the summary home dashboard.

I have tried your way, and in the account i changed the account from customers to sales

It works, and it shows the amount of sales on the summary home dashboard.

But it won’t be shown in the customer account statement.

I think the sales invoice should automatically show the amount in the sales on the summary home dashboard.

please see

It isn’t clear if Hazem is using Sales Invoices or Receipts to record his sales

You can’t do both, so either use Receipts or create a Sales Invoice and record the receipt from customer as a payment to his customer account

I do create Receipts when we receive payment from customers
for example customer paid to us 100SAR Cash
We create a Receipt that he made adavnced payent of 100SAR Cash

Then we create a sales invoice for him, for example, 150SAR

than under the customer account, it will show that it is due to Unpaid 50SAR

But it won’t show in the summary sales the sales invoice

Normally you would create the Sales Invoice before creating the Receipt

Please show a screenshot of your Sales Invoice - most likely this is the cause of your oroblem

Hello @Hazem what you are doing is correct.

Do you see the place written suspense? it should not be suspense!! You should change that to “Sales” then you will see the figures in the frontend summary page.

All the other things you mention have nothing to do with the amount being shown in sales in the frontend.

Nevertherless, if that doesnt work, kinldy take a screenshot fo the whole summary screen, just blur out the numbers, and do the same with the receipt you are creating for the customer.

He said he is using Sale Invoice to record the sale - so you can’t use the Sales account in the receipt transaction - that would double record the sale

Please see this example of sale invoice i create for customers

As you are selling goods that are held in Inventory, the sales are recorded to the built-in account Inventory Sales

You can see that this account has a credit balance - this account is your sales account

You need to move it to the Income part of your Chart of Accounts

At the same time you need to move the Cost of Sales (Inventory Cost) up the Chart of Account

Thank you very much for your kind support

How to move them

Settings/ Chart of Account

Hello @Joe91

i have moved Inventory Sales under Income account and it works fine
