Feature Request - Batch import w/o UUId's

Not sure if this the right place to post this.

I am new to Manager so do not know all ins and outs yet, please correct me if it does not make sense.

When creating batch import, the software is forcing use to use UUId’s for accounts/payees. First of all, this defeats the purpose of batch import, secondly whole point of using software is to automatically link the id’s to the names (accounts/payees). I wonder what is the issue behind not doing it.

As you already figured out you need to use UUID so not sure what your point is.

Currently you need to do a batch update on referenced items to find their ‘key’ / UUID. Then do a vlookup or equivalent database function to convert between uuid and text names.

Lubos apparently plans to remove this requirement in the future.

Entering names of accounts, customers, items etc. in batch operations is not yet supported. But eventually it will be. For now you need to use customer UUID which is shown in top-right corner when editing the customer (very light gray which can be copy pasted into spreadsheet). [image]
