How would I export and import transactions with the account of each transaction? ie, if I need to import 2000 transactions and all the income transactions need to go to “sales”?
You can’t import financial transactions.
You can only import lists, such as Customers, Suppliers, Inventory Items etc.
The processes @Brucanna refers to are called batch operations. See this Guide: Manager Cloud.
You can import bank transactions by importing the bank statement. See Manager Cloud. And you can post them to various accounts manually or by using bank rules, per this Guide: Manager Cloud.
I notice from your profile that you joined the forum recently. If you just began using Manager and are trying to import transactions from another accounting system, you cannot, except when they are bank transactions. And in that case, you would be importing the bank statement, not records from the other accounting program.
As for exports, you can export almost any page in Manager. See Manager Cloud. But when doing this, you are not exporting complete transactions, only what you see on the screen.
