The below was working up until a recent change. This functionality seems to get lost and recovered periodically. What is the current status and plan with respect to these. Notice that the credit note number {{reference}} did populate correctly so seems like some not all variables affected?
It’s a little worrysome when surprise changes occur to documents and communications that are sent to external parties.
I’d like to know current functionality (available variables) and that they will stick around for while. Appreicate your help. Just want to get functionality back in place.
I also tried some merge tags as there had previously been discussion of implementing them into email templates. That didn’t work either.
I urgently need to find a way to the the customer name and Invoice Description working again.

Yeah. It’s a real pain when you depend on it and then convince a friend to start using this software only to discover that the updates are breaking some of the modules and there is no documentation about how to do it now that things have changed. Come on!

Thank you. I have put other folks on manager also and set up email templates for them. Most are users not coders so..
This was a (non-technical) user friendly way to make comunication with customers personal. It was these types of easy to use features that made/make Manager stand out.
There have been examples of rather involved scripts to maybe loop though and get field.values shown in the forums but (i) those are more developer than user friendly and (ii) don’t seem to work anymore either.
Please keep the ability to personalise email communications and do so with user friendly functions. If liquid is gone then how about for consistency and useability (by non-technical users) the same tags as available in footers?
Please (recurring theme here) if there is an upcoming change that will impact either communitation with external parties or the UI for users a heads up and release schedule would be incredibly useful to allow an opportunity to address without surprise.
In the last week my book-keeper (i) sent out a bunch of invoices where the email was full of {{variables}} tags instead of values. Wow, did those communications look pretty unprofessional. (ii) got days behind in cash applications because the New Receipt button she had used for years vanished from the Sales Invoice screen and she had no idea how to work without it.
