Different auto numbered invoices

Hello , how can I use two differetn type of invoice with different auto increcement number?
For example:

  1. invoice for parts with xxxx auto increcement number
  2. invoice of working hours xx auto increcement number

So far I am changing the automatic numbering from invoices of parts to manual for invoices for working hours but unfortunately I am making mistakes.

Probably you are right but because I am not English and I don’t speak and understand english very well I could n’t find a topic that could explain of how to.

Several users have requested similar things such as:

  • Auto incrementing custom field

  • Prefix or suffix on serial number

  • Separate serial number for particular forms

The outcome was a single unique number one larger than the digits used in any prior entry (note the serial number field is alphanumeric).

Have you checked with your local tax authorities if it’s allowed to use a non-continuous invoice numbering scheme for the same company? In most countries this is not allowed.
