While using the desktop edition, the deletion of an amortization entry for an intangible asset in the Intangible Assets tab causes a jump to a login screen requesting user ID and password. Control can only be regained by closing and relaunching the application. Upon reopening, the amortization entry has been deleted and normal functionality is restored.
The bug occurs when deleting either a starting balance for accumulated amortization or an individual amortization entry. In both cases, it is triggered as the Update button is clicked. It does not seem to occur when a purchase cost entry is deleted. I don’t know whether this might be related to the bug reported in this topic: Intangible asset summary report bug.
