I have version 14.6.42 and I am unable to delete a customer. Please advise!
You have probably invoice, quote, credit note or some other transaction linked with that customer. Why do you want to delete a customer you have transaction history with?
I wanted to delete the record because the customer has passed away.
Ability to make a customer “inactive” would be useful.
When I looked at the Delete option at the bottom of the Customer form I assumed it would just delete it. When I found it would not I guessed there was a bug. What I have done for now is to insert a code of DECEASED in the code field to make sure I don’t forget his status.
Yeah, you can do that. Once Archiving feature is implemented, you will be able to archive this customer so it will not be in main view but still part of your historical accounting records.
