Deleted Classic Custom Fields still show in Batch Update file

I have converted Classic Custom Fields for Suppliers and transferred the data into new Custom Fields.
There is now no data in the Classic Custom fields and these fields have been deleted, however in the Batch Update file the columns still exist for these deleted Custom Fields.

Is there any way to remove these obsolete columns in the Batch Update file?

The simple answer is no. Batch update is a function for updating existing records. Even when emptying some fields it will not allow the removal of these fields.
