Custom Reports

Hi, All
Can anyone help me to create the following custom report
Note: I have created a custom field called “Area” in Customer to identify customers area wise
The report I need:
INV Date/ INV Number/Customer/INV Value/Receipt/Balance/Days from INV Date
Where Area =" Area"
or Group by Area
INV Number can be key

Please post the definition of our custom report as you have developed it so far and a screen shot of the result. Explain what is not satisfactory about the result.

I have to create it. To emphasize more.
I need a report to see the following in columns
Customer
Invoice Number
Invoice Date
Invoice Amount
Received any Payments if any
Balance for Today
Days since invoiced(Age)
I need to group them by “Area” which I have created at Customer

Please do not ask others to do your work for you. When you have tried to create a report and have problems, post them on the forum.

I will tell you that some of the variables you want to display do not exist in the general ledger transactions that make up custom reports.

The easiest way to get what you want is to add your custom field to sales invoices rather than customers. Then all the information you need would be on the Sales Invoices tab listing. You could copy it to a spreadsheet without the work of creating an impossible custom report.

I don’t think it is easily possible to get information on invoices and payments onto the same custom report

Not al payments are linked to a particular invoice for a start

The Custom reports are based on the G/L transactions which occur at a line level so compiling them into invoice level reports is quite difficult.

The fact the no documentation is available only makes the task much, much harder
