When creating a grouping of amounts in advanced queries different currencies are summed up all together as you can see below:
I think Receipt - Lines screen needs currency column. Then you group by Date and Currency.
If you group only by date and have multi-currency transactions, then Amount column should not be visible. Perhaps just Count column to show how many transactions are in the group.

I had the same issue on special accounts. It would be better if every tab and tab transaction lines gets this option.
