CSV files for Single Touch Payroll

Hi there, I am having trouble with my STP worksheet - when I ‘Export to CSV’ the report is saved as a ‘file’ not a csv file. I would love some suggestions please.

have you tried opening the saved file to see what it contains.
It should contain comma separated values (CSV) with the first line containing the headings / data names

I am asked ‘how do you want to open this file’

Choose at text editor or spread sheet program you have installed on your computer.

What operating system does your computer run? If it is windows rename the file to add “.csv” at the end of the file name.
