Credit Notes takes a few minutes to perform any operation if Early Pay Discount is enabled on invoices

This issue has persisted since I first started using Manager through to v25.10.28.3058

If a sufficient number of Sales Invoice has the Early Pay Discount option checked and discount entered, then:

  • any time Manager opens, returns to, or reloads the Credit Notes tab will take a long time
  • operations such as opening individual Credit Note or the Batch Create screen itself isn’t affected by the slowdown.
  • I believe it’s caused by Manager trying to load all the Early Pay Discount that are collapsed at the top.

For example, with just 10 existing Credit Notes, it takes over 3 minutes to open the Credit Notes tab, another 3 minutes for Batch Update to open. No other function tab has this issue even if they have many more entries.

I recoded 42000 Sales Invoices to uncheck Early Payment Discount and the issue is resolved.

Since the Early Payment Discount isn’t posted to the ledger, it only serves as a notification. Can this feature be improved so it can still provide value without killing Credit Notes?

Yes, this is something I have been aware for some time now. This will be fixed when I replace automatic credit allocation on invoices for semi-automatic credit allocation.
