How to connect Cash/Bank Accounts to in Assets Account Ledger for real time transaction and balance?
Read the guide “Add custom control accounts”
@AJD
Sorry to say that I can`t find out any option which can be link to Bank and Cash Accounts from Assets Account Ledger.
If you dont mind could you share screen shot to describe for this.
The guide is not quite up to date ( control account categories are displayed differently now.
Go to > Settings > Control accounts > Bank & Cash Accounts and set up new control account like this:
Then Go to > Bank & Cash Accounts and edit Rajhi Bank by selecting the “Rajhi Bank” control account like this:
Do this for each bank account and they will appear individually on summary and Balance sheet
Do not forget to remove the two earlier that you created in Chart of Accounts (shown in bold on your screenshot) as now the control accounts as explained by AJD will also appear there.
Accounts has been linked.
@eko Now I understood where I was wrong.
Because account was necessary to delete from Assets then follow up @AJD guide.
Thank you both of you!
@AJD @eko
Now I have another problem from Journal Entries in Opening Balance Sheet
Cant get in the list of entries.
Even I tried with group.
Note:-
Before Accounts Control both bank accounts available in the list.
Journal entries cannot be used for transactions to bank accounts. You must use Receipts or Payments transactions.
Please read the guides first and search the forum. As @AJD already explained and as mentioned in the guides https://www.manager.io/guides/9820
In Manager, most transactions are entered in other functional tabs, thereby automating many decisions about account posting and reducing errors. So journal entries are relatively few. Most record transfers between accounts. In fact, no transaction involving the actual receipt or payment of funds by a business can be recorded via a journal entry.
