To answer your question directly, no. From an accounting viewpoint, the payment has been recorded, reducing the payable amount. Whether the payment has cleared yet is irrelevant. The significant accounting event is the payment. Monitor its status in the Bank and Cash Accounts tab, not by having to view the purchase invoice.
