Yes. There are many discussions about different approaches in the forum. Search for “POS.”
Contrary to what @Tut stated I would say No. There is no automation between a separate POS and Manager. You can use POS data aggregates and use them in Manager for accounting purposes but there is not any automation between your own POS and Manager. You need to use the aggregate POS reports in Manager by manually entering POS summaries.
I did not mention automation. The question was about integration. The use of aggregates from a point of sale system is a form of integration.
You can not intergrate. Let’s avoid technicalities.

That’s not true
You are free to make your own conclusions, even wrong conclusions like in this case but presenting them like they are the end-all-be-all requires calling out where you got things wrong.
Manager can be integrated with everything provided that this other thing has an api. I know that because I have been using the api for loads of different implementations and I’m sure many other users do as well.
What you want here is not the “ability to integrate” but rather, a ready partnership with an existing pos system – that does not exist.
