The field names you see when you export inventory or non-inventory and the field names you see when you import (batch create) are not the same. When you export, you see the same names as what you see in Manager. When you batch import, you see different names.
For example Unit Name in batch import versus Item Name in Manager.
I would recommend that the names match as this is confusing for new users.
The second problem and the bigger problem is that the export is not exporting all information - for example tracking codes are not exported, yet in batch import they are! There are many more fields in batch import than there are in export. Should they not be the same?
Ok thank you. There is no rush, as I decided it would be simply to re-enter what information I needed for my home accounting instead of importing everything and then deleting stuff I did not want. But I just thought that I would mention it as it would be very confusing for people less IT Literate than me.
I’m removing this from ideas because this has been already solved. There is no longer Export button, instead, there is Copy to clipboard button which is more straightforward and eliminates the confusion.
