Broken app

Manager (21.3.24) won’t start anymore at my laptop (WIndows 1909, build 18363.1316). A popup appears indicating some missing file:

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

Reinstall or removing and installing again doesn’t fix it.
Any help is appreciated.

Do you have WebView2 installed on your PC? If not, do so.

Yes, I saw some messages in the forum mentioning it so I downloaded it and installed it. Did a reboot but the same error occurs. Webview2 89.0.774.45 is installed.

Silly question but what version of Windows are you using?

And is it 32-bit or 64-bit?

Windows 10 pro, 64 bit version 1909 (see my original posting)

Sorry, I didn’t notice that

I wonder if 1909 is a problem?

I am on 20H2 64-bit and it works fine

Tried that as well. Did a forced update to 20H2. Same result, missing file. It’s quite odd, have been using Manager for at least three years without any problem.

@Eric_Sprangers could you launch Microsoft Edge and see what version you have installed?

I think you are correct, the issue is Edge related. I installed Manager at another pc and no issues, could open my account databases correctly,
When I checked the Edge version number of the laptop with the issue, I noticed a similar error message as well in Edge as it fails to do an update. Conclusion, my Edge install is corrupted and the issue is not related to Manager…
