Breadcrumbs or table heading missing Account details

Hi

When clicking on an account, via “Bank a Cash Accounts”, and accessing Transactions, it would be nice to see on the current working screen which account is being accessed. The screenshot shows what I mean, I hope!!

Just seeking to clarify your intention. The term Account is quite diverse in Manager. As observed on the transaction page in the image you provided, there is a column labeled Account, which refers to the accounts listed in the Chart of Accounts. To further clarify the Account you are referring to here, are you referring to the Account Name whose figure you clicked from the list of Bank or Cash Account ?

For example, if you previously clicked on the figure for Bank Account A from the list of Bank or Cash Account and were redirected to the transactions page, do you wish to see the Bank or Cash Account Name on that transaction page?

In that case, I also agree with displaying it. Although we can actually return to the previous page to make sure we click the correct Bank or Cash Account, it might be clearer to specify that the transaction page we are viewing is for a specific Bank or Cash account. For instance, it could be placed in the Breadcrumb section. Perhaps we should consult @Lubos to see if this is feasible?

Yes, I mean Account Number. As I’m a “bear with a very small brain” and a short attention span , I often have to flip back to ensure I’m in the right account.

Thanks for your input.

Navigate to the relevant bank account from the ‘Summary’ tab/page and this gives a more Bank statement style with debits and credits in separate columns but also shows the name of the account (bank) in a column that is not shown if you navigate from the ‘Bank and Cash Accounts’ tab. The advantage of having the column with the Bank account listed is that it will always show even if you have scrolled down the page and away from the top of the page

Good tip, thank you.

Hello @muffin,

Though you seem to be satisfied with the solution provided by @kitman, it still uses another screen.

I too have noted the disappearance of this detail from the breadcrumbs and I wonder if this was intentional by the developer.

I will place this in bugs for since this is a feature that has been lost.

Fixed in the latest version (25.10.22.3017)

However there is still a lot of inconsistency in breadcrumbs which will be improved over time.
