I’m wondering, has anyone ever looked into an automatic bank statement retrieval feature? I know quickbooks and quicken have it, as well as several others. Here is an article that details some of the process.

@lubos has said several times the feature will not be added unless the (bank) API for accessing bank account statements is free. And since this does not exist yet, it isn’t being added.
There have been several discussions on the forum about this. The developer has rejected the idea, for now, because it would not be free, isn’t standardized, and poses security risks.
Manager is a ‘web’ program, so you can script it using your favourite ‘web’ driving system to automate the ‘manual’ downloading of your statement files from your bank and import it into manager.
