pls help me. what I’m gonna do if my assets, liabilities and equity (under balance sheet) became zero even though entries were correct.
is this normal, or something wrong?
it’s not normal, it should be Bug
so what should I do? will it be fix automatically later on?
We’ve reported it, the developers should have read it, and we can only wait until this bug is fixed.
There are several circumstances when equity can become zero including:
- You have not entered any income or expenses.
- You have not entered any transactions to capital accounts.
- You have not issued capital through a corporate entity.
- You have distributed retained earnings in full to a proprietor under a loan account classified as an asset or liability instead of a capital account.
I moved the content of the same topic you created on this and put it in the bugs category as observed by @Mabaega.
@Angela_Liwayway as a new user to the forum please familiarize yourself with all the information at FAQ - Manager Forum
You would for example notice:
- Don’t cross-post the same question or comment in multiple topics.
Thanks
how many days do it take?
what does it mean? Cloud Edition v24.10.4.1865. Do I need to update mine?
No, it is good practice to show what environment, version, etc you tested in. Please as advised
In this case @Mabaega just confirmed the issue as a bug on his system following:
Be specific. Do not just tell us a feature does not work. Explain what you have done and why you think there is an issue. If your question relates to an apparent software problem (rather than an accounting topic), tell us your operating system (including the version), Manager edition (desktop, server, or cloud), and exactly what you think is wrong. If possible, post screen shots illustrating the problem.
This means, this problem also happened to me, I am using cloud edition version 24.10.4.1865
Fixing bugs depends on finding it and eliminating it. Once done it will be eliminated from this list and announced as fixed, inclusive in which Manager version. Often bug fixes are very quick but of late @Lubos let some bugs stay for longer (longest is 19 days at the moment), not sure why, but usually much quicker fixes.
okay noted, hope everything goes back to normal
I didn’t do anything, that’s why I’m shocked when I saw it.
You did not provide us with the specific information as per FAQ such as Manager Edition, Version, Operating system. If you are using Cloud Edition like @Mabaega then you will always get automatically updated to the latest version.
A bug is a developer not a user issue. When as in your case you report one then it will be classified as such an will be prioritized as explained. So for now just wait until the bug is resolved, no need to further post on it.
how can I update my Manager I.O in chrome?
This has been fixed in the latest version (24.10.4.1868)
If you are using the Cloud Edition of Manager then:
You don’t update, the Cloud Edition is always up to date.
