Journal entries do not have custom titles - you can have a description
Why would you want a custom title?
I have a real estate client who wants to record rent installment cheques for a single lease contract in one receipt. However, this is not possible in the receipts system because there are both cash payments and cheque payments. Instead, it can be done using a journal entry, but he wants to change the name from ‘Journal Entry’ to 'Receipt as attached
@ameen, that would be a bit confusing wouldn’t it?
I mean that once you change the title to Receipt, this title change will show everywhere in your General Ledger reports.
Also, I have one more question. Will this Journal Entry be shared with external parties as legal proof of payment?
he will use as receipt , so no issue to showing in GL
