Why should you want to install different server editions on different servers? The scope of server edition is to have one centralized repository to be accessed by many different clients.

My understanding is a product key is for one instance of Manager. That instance of Manager can support multiple Manager business data files. You can move that instance of Manager to a different computer or different IP address.
However if you want to run multiple instances of Manager server at different IP addresses and possibly on different computers, then you require a different license key for each instance.
