The latest version is somewhat simplifying the workflow related to templates (used on invoices, orders, quotes etc). Previously, Manager had a few in-built templates and on top of that ability to create custom ones. Although it was working, I never liked the workflow. It was clunky, confusing and more complicated than it needed to be. The latest version is solving this issue by removing all in-built templates which are now available at https://www.manager.io/templates. New templates will continue to be added on the website rather than directly into the program. How it works If you’d like Manager to use different template, go to https://www.manager.io/templates and click on the template you like. [image] Under large screenshot, you will see code area. [image] Copy & paste this code to new template which you can create under Settings tab. Then Templates. [image] Then click Create button to save it. [image] Once created, you can go and View any invoice, quote, order, receipt or statement where you can click Switch Template button in top-right corner. [image] This will quickly switch template to new look. [image] If you have multiple templates, keep clicking on Switch Template button to loop through all of them. I think the new workflow is much more intuitive and simpler. Also, by making templates available on the website (and not as part of the program) will ensure that even if there are thousands of templates, the program will always stay small in size.

Yes. You need to create custom fields from settings for all the additional details. Then you can place the custom fields wherever you need through html coding.

Thank you for your reply. Is there any possibility that i could get this type of customised template ?

If you are from India, as a user myself we have requested a new template as per the GST requirements which will be implemented next month. So i guess you can wait until then.

yes, and thank you we can wait.

you can follow the topic below and you will know if there are any updates. [image] India's New GST Invoice Format Hello @lubos In India the tax system is changing from July this year. And the requirements for a legally accepted invoice is changed. Even though the invoice layout can be customized, there will be some complications regarding the new invoice format that is needed. A lot of customization will be necessary from the user side regarding the number of columns and their content. It shall be a great help for the Indian users if you could come up with an update regarding this. I shall try to update …

The latest version (17.6.15) supports multiple templates. I thought I can get away by restricting users to just one template but various use-cases warrant multiple templates need to be supported. Multiple templates can be created under Settings tab, then Templates. Switching between templates can be done using Switch Template button in top-right corner when viewing a document (e.g. invoice, order, quote, receipt, statement etc.)

I just download and install the newest desktop version 17.6.18, and found out that the option of “[17.4.0] Phasing out “Application Data” folder” is gone, now I can’t reverse back to previous version for that function. [image] [17.4.0] Phasing out "Application Data" folder in desktop edition In the latest version (17.4.0), Manager will no longer use “Application Data” folder to store its data. What it means is that your *.manager files can be anywhere whether it’s your desktop, my documents folder or dropbox/onedrive folder. If you are using desktop edition, you should probably have your *.manager file(s) in Dropbox, OneDrive or Google Drive anyway to have automatic backups. To accommodate for this change, the interface is slightly different. Instead of Add Business and Remove Bus…

[image] llg_yk: now I can’t reverse back to previous version for that function. Why do you want to reverse back to the previous version for which function.
