sir @lubos is it possible to get the database before this inventory update (from version 24.10.27.1909) ?
Previous releases can be found at https://github.com/Manager-io/Manager/releases
However, the businesses are not backward compatible, so only if you have a backup of the older business files can you import these in that older version because Manager automatically will update the business data files when installing a newer version and the files can then no longer be used in an older version.

we dont do the daily backup, n suddenly sir lubos updated the system. thats why i asked sir Lubos if have possibility to get the database on version 24.10.27.1909

Not to mention that COGS is for Cost of Goods Sold , in my situation and many of IO Manager users ,use Production Order to stock , How to account this transaction as a COGS it’s against Revenues matching concept @lubos can illustrate what is his intentions of doing such.
All production orders are allocated on cost basis and not allocated on inventory finished goods or production in progress.

I noticed that on the timestamp from the history no one posted or worked on the inventory unit cost.
But, its showing on the history & timestamp that someone worked on it.

Dear, the kind of havoc has been played with inventory items its unimaginable. Every thing concerning inventory has been adversely affected. Today, once I wanted to make an inventory write off it was too effected, previously it use pick the average cost auto, now one has to enter manually. when I created the entry, my profit dropped one lace whereas inventory write off was only 19000. @lubos my humble request to please keep inventory development/update minimum/simple.

In the morning, in summary my profit was 1.6M, now it has reduced to 1.2M… what is going on @lubos
When you mention “Summary” what do you mean. Also when mentioning “profit” do you mean the “Net Profit” in Summary? Finally, do you have any FOREX losses/gains as these effect that Net profit, i.e. if you input new FOREX rates it will affect it.

By summary i means the custom summary ie first tab, i usually set to current month. Yes means net profit, No i didn’t had any such losses.
Mine is pharma business and I sell on Finish Goods after production order. More so I m using Manger for last almost 5 years.
I am a Manager user like you, so have no insight whatsoever in direction and development.
