Sales And COGS Account

I have two branches. When issuing a sales invoice, the revenues are placed in one account for both branches, as well as the cost of goods sold. Is there a way to separate the sales of each branch from the other, as well as its cost, away from the cost centers?

Hello,

You can use Divisions for that.

You can then create separate columns for each Division in Reports > Profit and Loss Statement

Also, you can track transactions with no Division set from Reports > Division Exception Report

See this guide for more detail:

You can also create two different accounts/group of accounts for each division: ‘[Division 1] Sales’ & ‘[Division 2] Sales’, etc.

Can you explain more about this way

This is more of an accounting issue than software issue, but anyway, it depends on how you want your reporting to look. If you only want gross profit split, you could create a separate group for each, your chart of accounts would look like this:

And your summary would look like this:

If you wanted you could also split all expenses; you could also put revenue and COGS in separate top-level groups, but this gives the idea
