Retrieving data after a transfer from a hard drive

OK, thanks.

Mmm
So I assume you have

  • installed the current version of Manager manager on your new computer.
  • not updated Manager on your old computer for many many years.
  • tried to export Manager from your old computer and install the backup on your new computer and found you could not as the backup Manager version was not supported by the new version.

In which case using the cloud version of Manager will not help you now.

You need to scroll back to the latest Mac version which supports database update and install that.

Edit
Selecting the next button about 10 times on the original link brings up https://github.com/Manager-io/Manager.dmg/releases/tag/20.9.89. (In hindsight a URL we probably could have guess by looking at others)

Ps
Updating your Manager software on a reasonably regular basis is required. The cloud version makes this trivial, so is optimal for many users. You appear to have demonstrated computer administration is not your thing, which is why I still believe you will be happier using the cloud version of Manager.

There will be other issues you encounter when doing the upgrade so I recommend you leave the old version of Manager on the old computer for reference and backup your data file before starting.
