Retained earnings can consist of several items

I have two administrations where this plays out.
One has 33 items, the other 17. (Other than the items for the Beginning Balance Sheet).
These administrations use Tracking Codes, now called Divisions. The functionality of Divisions is different from Tracking Codes.
Could it be that when the system determines the Retained Earnings, an item is booked per Tracking Code c.q. Division?

You need to show edit screens of the transaction(s) so that we can see all of the information which was entered

These are “phantom” journal entries to allocate the Cumulative Retained Earnings to divisions

That had not occurred to me, @Joe91. I was thinking possibly custom control accounts.
