Receipt should show remaining balance for all customers

Dear @lubos

The issue of the customer statement balance to appear on the Receipt is still a big huddle to deal with. Even if you use a custom theme to do it, it does not succeed because their is some failure as in linking the customer statement to the Receipts. At least the themes custom have worked out on providing the amount in words. But bringing the remaining customer balance on the receipt after deduction of the amount receipted is surely a huddle that needs manager.io team to deal with.

Could you please help us on that? @lubos

This has been a long awaiting enhansement

Hello @MUHINDO_DAN & @AMM,

You can do this using a Custom Theme.

See the following post for more detail:

No please.

That has totally failed.

The reason we are asking for it to be fixed by manager.io team

Themes do not solve this challenge of putting a remaining balance of the customer statement on the receipt after he/she has paid. @lubos Please attend to this.

Hello @MUHINDO_DAN,

I don’t want to discourage you from pursuing your request, but I don’t think that this particular request will make to ideas.

The reason I say this is:

  1. It’s combining two documents which are known to serve different purposes. I’m not saying that this is a “bad” practice – not at all, and I’m not saying that this is not something that people do. This just goes against the simple philosophy of Manager design and it’s an optional piece of information.

  2. Though this is potentionally a time saver for some, however, it’s not something that cannot be achieved by standard work practices: the obvious solution, is to send another statement right after receipt.

  3. In case this feature is absolutely essential for your work, it is possible to make the customization using Custom Themes. No coding skills required. Themes can now be written using AI since their structure has been standardized and is easily understood by any AI agent.

I’m just sharing my views on the likelyhood of getting your idea through to implementation. You can still follow up on this, but, imo, trying the workaround could have better chances.
