Hello @lubos
is it possible to restrict editing and copying of images created by the internal pdf generator?
most business now including ours are into paperless transactions.
the business logo set in Manager and any signature set as an image using custom themes can be easily copied from the generated pdf which causes security concerns.
i understand this can be done with other pdf software but that is just additional work and will not allow users to utilize the Email function within Manager.

@lubos anything on this?
just a reminder to make sure you did not miss this topic.
If you are worried about ‘security’ any sufficiently sophisticated ‘adversary’ can break that protection. Text is easily OCRd, and images extracted no matter how ‘locked down’ the PDF is. Just about the only thing you can do is use bitmap instead of vector graphics to restrict the level of detail someone might obtain.
If you are worried about an adversary modifying the document (instead of being able to copy/paste from it), you should digitally sign them outside of manager using some sort of batch/pipeline signing program.
the topic was to provide a suggestion regarding the security of pdf generated by the internal pdf generator in Manager.
the level of security and how the same needs to be implemented is a choice of the developer depending on the technical feasibility.
a sophisticated adversary would anyhow break the security but that does not mean we cannot take basic precautions.
i have clearly mentioned in the initial post that this is possible outside of Manager and so i am aware of this. but if anything is discussed on this forum it relates to the development of Manager software alone.
