How can we deduct salary advance in payslip ? I want to deduct salary advance taken by employee at the time when we create payslip by making payslip items.
You don’t deduct the salary advance in the Payslip. You allocate the salary advance payment to the Employee Clearing Account and when you create the Payslip it will be reduce the salary advance amount in the Employee Clearing Account.
This is the opposite sequence to how you would normally process payroll which is to firstly create the Payslip then pay the employee and allocate the payment to the Employee Clearing Account.
If you are recovering the salary advance in a lump sum (one repayment), however if you are recovering the salary advance over a number of payslips then you need to create a payslip deduction item as the advance is not initially allocated to Employee Clearing Account.
