Trying to move everything into Manager and noticed that you can’t simply put in balances and inventory as the positions exist today. You have to use journal entries to do it, but then I end up with all these starting transactions that aren’t valid. I know Manager used to let you do this(4 years ago?), but it doesn’t seem possible now. Is there a button or setting that I’m missing?

If you are working for new Business data, I suggest you make the settings using the old version of Manager, after you are done you can open the data in the latest version of Manager.
And the manager will automatically convert your initial balance into Journal.

I recently had to set up an existing business into manager from quickbooks for a friend so I downloaded an older version of Manager (can’t remember the exact version, I think it was 23.10.23.1103) and used that to set it up.
I then downloaded the latest version and installed that and it automatically converted it to the new version.
