Location & Depreciation of Fixed Assets

Continuing the discussion from Backdating Fixed Assets:

When you add your fixed assets to Manager, you can set opening balance as at your Start date which is at the beginning of the current financial year.

Under Fixed assets tab, there is Purchase Cost column, click on the amount 0.00 and change it to what was the original purchase amount of the asset.

At the time of Fixed Assets create, it is possible to create another field where we select method of depreciation & put rate the of depreciation . If it is possible we will get automatically Depreciation.
And if you create another field for location of Fixed Assets it will be grate job.

You can create custom fields under Settings. But while you could use them to list depreciation parameters, you cannot currently get automatic calculations. Search the forum. There has recently been discussion of this topic.
