Invoices under custom fields

i failed to find this
i created custom field for invoice and assign to each invoice.
Now i want to view the name of the person with his total from the invoice but filtered by custom field.
i tried in custom reports but i failed too

When i go to invoice tab i can view all customers with their invoice.
so i wanted the report that will bring out customer name and his/her invoice but filtered by custom field.

You can get this information in a number of ways using the Sales Invoice Totals by Custom Field or Sales Invoice Totals by Customer reports, drilling down on the figures.
