I have written off some inventory items. There are costs associated with it. However, after written off and allocating the expense account I see no entry in the expense account and counter impact on the inventory account.
Am I missing something?

I assume you consulted the guides and enabled in customize Inventory Write-Offs. Please show the edit screen of the write-off.
