Hello, I’m having an issue with inventory costing. My workflow has been the same for years, and inventory costing has always worked correctly. Recently, I noticed that inventory cost is no longer appearing in the Profit & Loss report.
Issue
- Inventory on hand increases when I record a Purchase Invoice
- Inventory quantity reduces when I record a Sales Invoice
- But COGS does not post
- “Inventory – cost” stays at 0.00
- Profit is overstated
What I’ve already checked
- Purchase Invoice uses Inventory on hand
- Sales Invoice uses the correct inventory item
- Item is set to Track quantity on hand
- Valuation method: Weighted average cost
- Dates are correct (purchase before sale)
- No custom expense accounts
- No mixed item types
- Recreated items and invoices
- Tested with brand‑new items
- Upgraded to version 26.7.6 — issue persists
Question
Is there a known issue or recent change affecting how Manager.io posts inventory cost or COGS?
Or is there something new that needs to be configured?
Thank you.
