I receive in-kind donations, at past I made journal entries to the value of the donation in a dedicated income account, and when I give away the donations, I made a journal entry to prove the value of the donation in a dedicated expense account.
I tried to record a receipt with the amount and value, but the inventory appeared to me with a negative value, is there a way to process cash donations through Manager.
Record cash donations as ordinary receipts, posted to a suitable income account.
Accounting for in-kind donations depends on local rules. You should consult a qualified local accountant on how to treat them. If you have questions about implementing your accountant’s advice, come back to the forum.
