How to enter investment dividend in Manager

I have been using this wonderful accounting program for more than 2 years and I am thankful to the creator and supporting people behind the scene.
I am just started entering Investments I made in share market in Manager, and want to add the dividend received from the companies. I have searched the forum regarding this and couldn’t find any relevant information in it. Can anybody just help me to add the dividend received to enter the relevant shares?

In that one sentence, you imply more than one transaction. A dividend is generally paid in some form of cash equivalent. Mentioning “relevant shares” implies a reinvestment. The dividend is a receipt. The reinvestment is a purchase. If you participate in an automatic dividend reinvestment option with your brokerage, you should see the separate transactions on your brokerage statement. So this requires two separate transactions in Manager.

The dividend amount is directly credited to my bank account. It is not reinvested. So, I want to account this in Manager to have a tracking, how much i am gaining as dividend from each shares.

Either (1) include this in the description of the receipt transactions or (2) add a custom field to the receipt form to enter the name of the relevant security. Either way, you will be able to search for the name of the security and, from there, copy to a spreadsheet or do whatever else you want. You would also have the ability to sort the Receipts tab listing.
