Hiding discontinued inventory items

An Inventory Item list can get quite long with Discontinued Items, along with Current Items. Discontuned Item should ramain in inventory, as they are likely attached to at least one transaction.

Would it be possible to have a “Hide” button for each item?
Also, a button to reveal All Inventory Items, so Hiden Items can be vied when needed?

Since I brought that up; would it also be be possible to be Denied Entering Duplicate Name Items, whether Hiden or not?

This is part of upcoming archiving feature that will allow to shelf away customers, suppliers, inventory items, general ledger accounts, employees etc. which are no longer used.
