No, the FBR extension for Digital Invoice is not available for FBR POS. To develop such an integration, resources like a registered FBR account, installation of the SDC, and communication guidelines between the POS/Manager application and the SDC are required.
If you have these resources and are willing to share them with me (in private message), I might be able to attempt building the integration.
Announcement: Pre‑Release of FBR POS Integration for Manager.io
I have created a pre‑release version of the FBR POS Integration for Manager.io. . So far, testing has not been successful.
If you have previously registered a POS in the FBR Portal, I would greatly appreciate your help in trying it out. Please report any errors you encounter, and feel free to share feedback or suggestions to improve this extension.
In addition to above, Please note that this extension is implemented in accordance with the by-laws prescribed by the Federal Board of Revenue under SRO 288(I)/2026.
Furthermore, if a business is already registered and is submitting invoices through the Digital Invoicing (DI) system, then the FBR POS integration does not apply to that business. In contrast, most Tier-1 retailers are required to use the FBR POS integration instead of the Digital Invoicing system.
I would also like to request @Mabaega that a separate thread be created for further discussion regarding the improvement and enhancement of this extension.
What options are available in the dropdown menus for POS Type and In-House Software Development?
When using the Cloud Sandbox in the Extension, we should set:
POS Type: Cloud base
In-House software development: Yes
In the Extension Setup, we also need to select Cloud Sandbox.
In the Extension, we have four environment options:
Local Sandbox
Local Production
Cloud Sandbox
Cloud Production
For the local environments, FBRIMS must be installed on our computer, as the data will be transmitted to FBRIMS.
At the moment, I have not been able to download the FBRIMS application. If anyone can share a link where I can download this application, it would greatly help with testing.
It seems this is being blocked by Extension Host (Azure) because it is trying to access the localhost server. I will try another approach for a local sandbox so that requests to the FBRIMS service can run on the client side.
I’ve just applied a quick fix to the extension for submitting invoices using the local FBRIMS services. Submissions should now work.
However, I wasn’t able to test it directly because I failed to install FBRIMS on my computer due to authentication issues. It seems the application can only be downloaded and installed on computers located in your country.
I don’t think this issue is related to our country. However, there is a possibility that when I configured FBRIMS, a file named POSID was created in my directory.
Is it possible that this file is required to be located in the manager’s installation directory instead?
Otherwise, I will recheck tomorrow where I configured it and posted a error.
I have checked the issue. The FBR POS file was previously located in another drive, due to which it was not working properly. I have now regenerated the FBR POS file and installed it in the Manager.io business directory. It is working correctly at my end.
but the invoice is so far not found in FBR portal i think it may some time for located in FBR sandbox server.
You might be right that the drive is causing the issue, but the main change is that I’ve already shifted the API request from the backend to localhost, so now it runs through the client script.
By the way, are the QR code and the page showing “Invoice Already Processed or Reported” working as expected?
For cloud testing, maybe we should reach out to the helpdesk to check why access is blocked or forbidden. I’m pretty sure the code is fine and the POS registration for cloud is correct, so sending data shouldn’t be a problem.
If you’re open to it, you could also use that response to ask the helpdesk for more details about the error.
Just make sure to include the POS Registration data (we can export it from the portal) and the server info. Also, the extension is hosted on Azure UAE North, with the IP and MAC shown in the Network Information section of the Guide page.
You may be correct regarding this matter. However, on the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) portal, I am currently unable to see my invoices in the sandbox environment. I am waiting for them to appear. Once the invoices are reflected there, I can confirm that the integration has been completed successfully.
