Divisional Budgets

Maybe I am missing a trick here but the ability to create budgets by divisions seems to leave a lot missing.

In the actual accounts you can specify transactions and define the transaction according to its divisions including splitting a transaction if necessary. In the reports you can take of a P& L for the company and show each of the divisional breakdowns which is perfect.

However it appears that you can only construct a budget for each division separately and there is no way to accumulate the division figures to get the totals for the company which means that this would have to be yet another budget done by hand.

I even looked at custom reports but budget figures are not included in the options.

Would it not be simpler to allow the budget creation to follow exactly exactly the account layout so that you record the budget figure like a transaction and identify it by division. That way the figures will mirror a standard P & L and can be printed as such.
