Is there a way to put a beginning and ending period for a payslip. I would like for my employees pay slip to show what pay period he/she is being paid for.
The payslip itself is a financial transaction on a specific date, generally the closing day of a pay period. But you can certainly mention the time period in the Description field of the earnings item. In fact, if you have many employees, it may be worthwhile to modify the Form Defaults for payslips to include such a description before starting payslip preparation. Change it once, and all payslips created will contain the same description until next payroll period, when you change it again.
